Positive: The staff were excellent. I arrived at 12 and rather than make me wait until 3pm they gave me a room. The breakfast is excellent, lots to choose from. The location to both the new shrine and the historic basilica on the hill is fantastic. The swimming pool looked great, though too cold in August. Cafes and restaurants and plenty of shops close by.

Negative: I’m not used to making my own bed in a hotel. Nothing but odd shape sheets that didn’t fit the bed. Thankfully the winter blanket was available. The noise outside from a generator 24/7 is very irritating, sounds like a coach diesel engine all day and night. Also unable to open a window to let in light and fresh air, just slide open one pain with a metal grill-strange
